November 2024: Danielle will be originating the role of Sophie in the short play 3 Cooks and a Cornered Critic by Bruce Sisler at the SOOP to Nuts Fest.
October 2024: Danielle will be playing Mrs. Teavee (and Grandma Georgina) in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at The Growing Stage!
April 2024: Danielle had the honor of performing alongside F. Murray Abraham in a special reading of Fragments by Edward Albee!
At the end of the month, Danielle will perform in the new work Little Things by by Bonnie Gleicher & Brandon Michael Lowden at The Growing Stage’s New Play-Reading Festival.
February 2024: Danielle will be playing Lady MacDuff and Witch 3 in Macbeth with Castle Shakespeare Repertory at Pax Amicus. She will also return for Romeo & Juliet in the spring!
Sept-Oct 2023: Danielle is starring as Lo in the U.S. Premiere of the unpublished Sam Shepard play Little Ocean. Mr. Shepard wrote the play for his wife O-Lan Jones (who is in touch with the NJ cast & creative team) in the 1970’s when they were living in England, and it was only performed then and there. Danielle is honored to bring new life to this “lost” piece!
July 2023: Danielle will be working directly with Mr. John Patrick Shanley developing a new play of his: The Lost Years.
2023: Danielle has been asked by the Estate of Edward Albee to be part of an exclusive undertaking: starting this May, Black Box PAC will run an exclusive reading series of all of Mr. Albee’s plays. Join Danielle every month!
April-May 2023: Danielle is finally playing Lady Capulet at Pax Amicus Castle Shakespeare! She was originally cast in this production for high school students back in 2020, and it is finally being remounted!
Danielle also performed alongside Kevin Corrigan in a reading of Eric Bogosian’s Skunkweed, and was directed by Danielle Ferland in a reading of Ken Levine’s What is Murder?
March 2023: Danielle participated in a workshop of Imaginary Comforts by Daniel Handler (aka Lemony Snicket). It was an honor to work with Mr. Handler on this hilarious and touching play!
February 2023: Danielle will be understudying the role of Brianne in Eric Bogosian’s 1+1, making its Off-Broadway debut at the SoHo Playhouse. Danielle previously worked on this show in NJ in Nov. 2021 and in NYC at the Chain Theater in July 2022.
November 2022: Danielle will be playing the Woman in Edward Albee’s The Play About the Baby. This piece is rarely performed and the production has the approval of Mr. Albee’s estate.

May 2022: Danielle is honored to play Jane in the World Premiere Production of Exposed! There was a reading of the play in 2003 at Powerhouse (where Danielle was an apprentice in 2017), but this is the first full production of the show. This is an exciting opportunity as Ms. Henley zoomed in to a few rehearsals to workshop the piece.
Update: Ms. Henley saw the show on May 22 and gave a talk-back after, moderated by Mr. Craig Lucas (author of Ode to Joy, which Danielle starred in this February).

March 2022: Danielle is playing Eileen Dover in the wacky St. Patrick’s Day Event When Irish Eyes Are Dyin’ at the Avenel Performing Arts Center, produced by Events With Lori.
February 2022: Danielle has the honor of playing the lead role in the NJ Premiere of Ode to Joy by Craig Lucas, and even more honored to have been in contact with Mr. Lucas during the process.
Update: Adele was a challenge, and Danielle successfully tackled the role with high praise: “MacMath and Mannix deserve credit for nailing the physical demands of a love scene between two characters who are so drunk…”
Summer 2021: Danielle returns as a founding member to Bergen County’s Shakespeare in the Park for the 4th summer! Like in 2019, she is taking on the “Best Friend track” playing Celia in As You Like It and Horatio in Hamlet! Performances are free to the public and the fun takes make Shakespeare more accessible to a modern public audience.
Fall 2020: Hybrid Theater! As a substitute teacher, Danielle is adapting to Hybrid Learning. As an actor, she’s experiencing Hybrid Theater! Danielle has participated in multiple online events and some in person, when deemed safe, with appropriate testing, mask-wearing, and quarantining.
Summer 2020: Theater in the time of COVID! Danielle is performing in outdoor, masked, socially distant Shakespeare this August and September. She is playing Gonzalo in The Tempest and Isabella in Measure for Measure. Thankful for precautions that allow theaters to adapt and continue to bring art to the area!
Spring 2020: With social distancing due to the pandemic, Danielle has been engaging in online events! She has participated in online Shakespeare readings with the Englewood Public Library: Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, Ophelia in Hamlet, Helena in All’s Well That Ends Well, Imogen in Cymbeline, and the titular role in Macbeth, among others. She has also recorded poems for National Poetry Month (also with the Englewood Library), and has participated in the late night sketch comedy show Saturday Night Alive From The Bunker as an original character on Zoom!
March 2020: Due to COVID-19, performances of Junie B. Jones and HERstory have been cancelled. Danielle was also cast as Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet at Pax Amicus Castle Theater, but rehearsals have been put on hold due to the pandemic.
Winter 2020: Revivals galore! Danielle will return to the casts of Junie B. Jones (BBPAC) and HERstory (educational tour to NJ schools). Danielle is once again portraying Louisa May Alcott.
Fall 2019: Danielle will be playing Claire in Fuddy Meers, the inaugural production of the new Black Box Performing Arts Center in Englewood, NJ!
BWW NJ Regional Awards: Danielle was nominated as Best Actress in a Musical for her work as Wendla in Spring Awakening! She was also nominated with the cast of Significant Other as Best Ensemble!
Summer 2019: Danielle will be playing “The Best Friend” in rep with the second summer of Shakespeare in the Park in Bergen County! She will be playing Benvolio in a punk version of Romeo & Juliet, and Emilia in a corporate Othello!

March 2019: Danielle embarks on a local education tour about women in history called HERstory. Danielle is portraying Louisa May Alcott, author of Little Women. The show is written and conceived by Dawn Ward Lau, and performs during Women’s History Month.
January 2019: Danielle will play Melinda/Mandy in Beltsville/Rockville, Part 1: Rise of the Goatman at Theater for the New City in NYC, reprising her roles from a staged reading of the play this past summer. And look for her name in an interview with playwright Matt Okin!
Next, Danielle jumps into Joshua Harmon’s Significant Other. Danielle is playing Laura, the “school marm.”
Update: her performance was praised as having “the right proportion of humor and depth.”
Fall 2018: Danielle will be playing Wendla in Spring Awakening this November, alongside Stephan Marcellus of NBC’s The Voice as Melchior!
Danielle will also reprise her role as May/Grace/Mother in Junie B. Jones The Musical!
Summer 2018: A very busy summer ahead! Danielle will perform as Jeanie in HAIR in June-July, and perform in Twelfth Night (Feste) and Macbeth (Witch) in repertory in August!
Update: Due to full houses, HAIR was extended for three more performances!
March 2018: Danielle will be rocking out as Sara in the new musical Soul Searching! Check out the in-concert workshop at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe in NYC! For 2 nights only: March 15 (9pm) and 27 (7pm).
January/February 2018: Danielle will be performing in Ibsen's Peer Gynt at BBPAC as Solveig/The Captain/Ensemble. This re-imagined production (marketed as "High Octane Ibsen") will perform Thursdays-Sundays at 8pm, from January 11 - February 4.
Fall/Winter 2017: Wowee-wow-wow! Black Box PAC is launching a series of shows for kids, starting with Junie B. Jones the Musical! In this collaborative endeavor, Danielle is playing May/Grace/Mother, and assisting with PR. Performances are Saturday and Sunday mornings in November and December.
Summer 2017: Danielle spent the summer as an Acting Apprentice at Vassar College & New York Stage and Film's Powerhouse Theater! Danielle performed in Cymbeline (Cornelius/Frenchman) and the improvised soundpainting performance This Is What It's Like. Danielle also attended classes and workshops. Participating in the program allowed Danielle to join the EMC program.
Spring 2017: In April, Danielle played the Nurse in Trapped, a student film at Seton Hall University. In May, Danielle filmed a commercial for Hilltop Nissan with Giovatto Advertising. In May and June, Danielle played the groom's step-sister River in Skip and Rivka's Interactive Wedding at Black Box PAC!
February/March 2017: Danielle returns to Black Box Performing Arts Center as Edward/Victoria in Caryl Churchill's Cloud 9. Please visit http://www.blackboxpac.com/cloud/ for more information or to purchase tickets. The show runs Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 2/9-3/4.
November/December 2016: As a Baker on the Polar Express (produced by Event Energizers), Danielle will spread hope and joy this Holiday season! The Polar Express departs from Whippany, NJ (premiere) and performs for a sold out audience!
